![]() It definitely floats in powder but needs more pitch and speed to turn easily. I don’t think I was able to get it up to speed in enough snow to appreciate its width and capabilities. One thing I would change: Hard to say, maybe tip to tail metal if I had to choose something.Īndy Mink: This is a big, strong ski and it requests a pilot who has the chops to drive it.Insider tip: Don't be afraid of the width you will find that it can do it all!.The Rustler 11 is a special kind of ski because for such a wide ski it does not perform that way, I can certainly name other skis in this width that just wouldn't hold up as a daily driver, but this one certainly can. ![]() I could argue this is a great choice for an everyday ski or even what I like to call a "travel ski": Throw a pair of Shift bindings on it and see where you can take it. Every ski has limitations, and its going to be slow edge-to-edge, but when you're skiing this kind of ski with this width you already know this. It holds an edge, it surfs, it floats, it‘s strong, there really aren’’t too many complaints. I have taken this ski to Mammoth early season, late season and everything between. It may be wide, it may be considered a powder ski, but it does not perform that way. This ski will get you from the tree stashes to your next pow run with ease. I have never had a ski that could perform so well for how wide it is in a huge variety of conditions. Let me just come out and say it, I love this ski, I really do, I used to think the Rustler 10 was the magic in this series but the 11 is the true winner.
